The Secretary’s Office needs a hiring and recruitment specialist.
The Financial Services Bureau needs an accountant.
The Office of General Counsel needs an attorney.
The list goes on.
Chances are high that there is a job there for you. Complex Effects readers are likely the most environmentally conscious people in the State of New Mexico, so I wanted to make sure I highlighted the importance of having a fully staffed, highly capable NMED. The Environment Department is full of great people working to make New Mexico a safer, healthier, and climate-conscious state.
The Climate Change Bureau, for example, is led by none other than Claudia Borchert. Claudia is my former boss and quite possibly the smartest person working on climate in the State of New Mexico. Michelle Miano, Director of the Environmental Protection Division, is an experienced environmental law specialist with an optimistic and motivating presence - if you work with her, you’re bound to accomplish great things for New Mexico’s Environment. And of course, there’s Secretary James Kenney. Secretary Kenney lives and breathes for New Mexico, and anyone who works with him can tell he’s the real deal.
Anyway, don’t just take my word for it. If you’re looking for a career change into something more meaningful, go meet the crew at the New Mexico Environment Department and see for yourself.
