Tell the EIB you want Advanced Clean Cars and Trucks
Public comments are currently being reviewed by the Environmental Improvement Board
Do you remember how hot it was this past summer?
Do you ever see smog covering Albuquerque?
Do you worry about the future of the planet due to the effects of climate change?
It’s time for you to take action right now.
Starting today, the NM Environmental Improvement Board and Albuquerque-Bernalillo County Air Quality Control Board are hearing public comments regarding the adoption of Advanced Clean Cars 2 (ACC2) and Advanced Clean Trucks (ACT). These are climate-positive transportation policies that ensure New Mexico gets the electric vehicles it needs to decarbonize its transportation sector.
Right-wing, climate-denying groups are expected to come out in numbers. In fact, as I write this, I’m listening to the President of the Rio Grande Foundation distribute misinformation about electric vehicles in his public comment to the EIB on Webex.
I urge you to listen in and provide your public comment via Webex on Monday at noon and 5 pm, or Tuesday at 9 am or 1 pm, and possibly continuing late afternoon on Wednesday.
If you don’t have time to provide a verbal public comment, take two minutes to write the EIB using this link and tell them you support Advanced Clean Cars 2 and Advanced Clean Trucks.
ACC2 is one of the many climate and economy-positive policies that New Mexico needs to adopt as we battle in this final hour of the climate fight. Scientists are telling us we have just a few more years to decarbonize, and New Mexico’s economy is ready for ACC2. It’s really a no-brainer.
