About the author

Outside of writing this blog, Austin is a Senior Economist for the Public Service Company of New Mexico - the state’s largest electric utility. He was also previously an economist at various State of New Mexico agencies such as the Economic Development Department and the Environment Department. Austin has a Master’s degree in Energy, Climate Change, and Sustainability Economics from the Barcelona School of Economics, and a BS and MBA from Adams State University.
